Tata Motors has launched the Altroz starting at Rs. 5.29 lakh for the petrol and Rs. 6.99 lakh for the diesel version (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The Altroz is based on the ALFA platform. It measures 3,990 mm in length, 1,755 mm in width, 1,523 mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2,501 mm. The car has a ground clearance of 165 mm and comes with a 37-litre fuel tank.
The Altroz comes with automatic projector headlamps with LED daytime running lights, rain sensing wipers, 7-inch MID, 7-inch touchscreen infotainment head-unit with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. It also gets automatic climate control with rear AC vents, cruise control and Multi Drive Modes - Eco and City.
The Altroz is available with BS6 compliant petrol and diesel engines. The 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine produces 85 BHP @ 6,000 rpm and 113 Nm @ 3,300 rpm. The 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder turbocharged diesel unit puts out 89 BHP @ 4,000 rpm and 200 Nm @ 1,250-3,000 rpm. Both engines come paired with a 5-speed manual transmission.
