Tata Altroz automatic variant launch confirmed

The Altroz automatic will lock horns with the Hyundai i20 Turbo and the Volkswagen Polo.

Tata Motors has confirmed that an automatic variant of the Altroz will be launched in the near future.

Reports suggest that Tata might offer a dual-clutch automatic transmission with the 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine. This engine produces 109 BHP and 140 Nm. At the moment, it is only available with a 5-speed manual gearbox.

The Altroz automatic will lock horns with the Hyundai i20 Turbo and the Volkswagen Polo. Meanwhile, Maruti Suzuki is also gearing up to launch the updated Baleno.

The Altroz also comes with a naturally aspirated 1.2-litre petrol engine, which makes 85 BHP and 113 Nm.
