Last month, a spy image of a Suzuki Vitara test mule had surfaced online. Now, the car has been spotted again.

The license plate indicates that this particular test mule is the same car that was spotted in March 2018. The car's registration details disclose that this Vitara is a diesel version and has been registered in the name of Maruti Suzuki India Limited.

The completely undisguised test mule is sporting a metallic turquoise colour and the Suzuki emblems in the front and rear have been masked. It has a chrome grille and fog lamps with LED DRLs. The car's B-pillar has been black out, while the rear window and quarter glass along with the rear windshield have a darker tint. The wheel arches are lined with black plastic cladding and the car is riding on 5-spoke alloy wheels.

In global markets, the Vitara is positioned above the S-Cross. It is offered with a choice of 2 petrol engines and a diesel unit. The petrol engine options include a 1.6-litre, 4-cylinder unit that makes 118 BHP and 156 Nm of torque and a 1.4-litre, turbocharged engine putting out 138 BHP and 220 Nm of torque. The diesel engine on offer is a 1.6-litre unit churning out 118 BHP and 320 Nm of torque. The car comes with a choice of 5-speed or 6-speed manual transmissions or a 6-speed automatic gearbox. It also gets an optional all-wheel drive system.
