SsangYong has released a teaser for the Tivoli XLV SUV. The model is a plus-sized version of the Tivoli SUV and is based on the XLV Air concept that was displayed at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 2015. The Tivoli XLV shares its 2,600 mm wheelbase with the Tivoli, but the length goes up by 235 mm.
With the increase in length, the car's storage capacity also rises to 720 litres from the Tivoli's 423 litres, which could include the addition of two seats. The Tivoli XLV is likely to be offered with the same 1.6L, 4-cylinder diesel and petrol engines seen in the Tivoli. Transmission options will include a 6-speed manual transmission and a 6-speed Aisin automatic transmission that send power to either the front wheels or to all 4 wheels through an “Intelligent 4x4 system”.
The standard Tivoli has been spotted testing in India and was also showcased at the Delhi Auto Expo this year. There is no official launch confirmation on the Tivoli or the Tivoli XLV. The only SsangYong branded car currently sold in India is the Rexton.
