Spy pics reveal interiors of Tata Safari Storme facelift

Thank you to Abhijeet Tilekar for sharing these images with other enthusiasts.

Here are some more images of the interiors of the Tata Safari Storme Facelift. The SUV gets the same three-spoke steering wheel as the Zest and Bolt. Black with silver inserts, it has controls for the audio system mounted on it. The dashboard is also black and silver and the clock between the air-conditioner vents has been left out. The centre console is revised and houses a new integrated audio system with Bluetooth, Aux and USB connectivity. In keeping with the rest of the theme, the gear lever is black with a chrome insert instead of beige. The 12V power socket has been shifted from next to the gear lever to below the audio system. Two airbags are also visible in the images, indicating that this might be the top variant of the Storme. The instrument cluster and controls for the air conditioning seem to be carried over from the outgoing model. The car also sports black fabric seats.

On the outside, the Storme gets a Land Rover-inspired honeycomb grille and tweaked bumper. The air dam also sports a honeycomb design.

Previous images of the Storme facelift have revealed that the vehicle gets a VARICOR 400 badge on the front fender. This indicates that it will get the same 2.2-litre diesel engine as the Hexa concept that was showcased at the Geneva Motor Show earlier this year. The engine produces 154 bhp and 400 Nm of torque.

It has been almost a year since we first reported about the Safari Storme facelift being tested. Tata Motors seems to be taking its time in introducing it in the market. There is still no information on the launch date of the vehicle.
