Skoda has released a rendering of the second-generation Skoda Rapid. The image suggests that the car sports the company's traditional trapezoidal grille, triple-pod headlamps, and a front bumper with integrated fog lamps. The ORVMs get integrated turn signals.
In international markets, the Rapid is expected to be replaced by the Scala. However, the Rapid could still be sold in countries like Russia and China. The car may be offered in liftback and hatchback body styles. The second-generation of the Rapid is expected to be based on the MQB platform.
The car is expected to be revealed by the end of 2019 in Russia. It could be launched in India in 2021 and could be powered by a 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine.
