Skoda Rapid 1.0L TSI Automatic launch on September 17

Rapid 1.0L TSI will be launched with a 6-speed AT next week.

Skoda is all set to launch the Rapid 1.0L TSI Automatic on September 17, 2020.

The carmaker has already started accepting bookings for the Rapid Automatic. The booking amount is set at Rs. 25,000, which is refundable with a cancellation charge of Rs. 3,000.

The Rapid AT will be powered by a 999cc, 3-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine that develops 109 BHP @ 5,000 – 5,500 rpm and 175 Nm @ 1,750 – 4,000 rpm. It is mated to a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. The claimed fuel efficiency of the Rapid AT is 16.24 km/l.

The same 1.0L TSI petrol engine is available with a 6-speed manual transmission. The smaller turbocharged motor replaces the 1.6-litre naturally aspirated unit.
