Skoda Octavia RS 245 still on sale

In India, only 200 units of the Octavia RS 245 were made available and the car was sold out very soon after its launch in April.

Now, Skoda dealers have started calling some customers for booking the Octavia RS 245. According to some BHPians, one of the reasons for the availability of the Octavia RS 245 now, could be the high number of cancellation of bookings after the price of the car was revealed. The on-road price of this front-wheel drive car is very close to some variants of the BMW 3-Series, which is a rear-wheel drive vehicle.

The Octavia RS 245 is powered by a 2.0-litre, turbocharged 4-cylinder petrol engine that produces 242 BHP @ 5,000-6,700 rpm and 370 Nm of torque @ 1,600-4,300 rpm. The engine is paired with a 7-speed DSG dual-clutch transmission.

Bookings for the Octavia RS 245 had opened in February, this year. The car was priced at Rs. 35,99,599 (ex-showroom, India).
