Skoda Kamiq interior revealed

Last month, Skoda released the first design sketches of the upcoming Kamiq SUV. The carmaker has now revealed the SUV's interior.

The Skoda Kamiq is based on the modular transverse matrix (MQB) platform. It has a wheelbase of 2,651 mm and a 400-litre boot. With the rear seat backrests folded down, luggage capacity can be increased to 1,395 litres.

The interior of the Kamiq is inspired by the Vision RS concept. It has a black dashboard with a floating touchscreen infotainment system in the centre. The trapezoidal air-conditioning vents have silver trim around them. The car has a 3-spoke multi-function steering wheel and a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster.

The seats in the Kamiq are wrapped in Suedia microfibre upholstery. The front door panels are finished in a soft foam surface. The SUV comes with an ambient lighting package with three colour options - copper, red and white. Heated rear seats, steering wheel and windscreen will be offered as an option.

The Skoda Kamiq is expected to make its global debut at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show, which is scheduled to be held next month.
