Skoda Auto Volkswagen India has achieved a new production milestone. The combined production of the Skoda, Volkswagen and Audi brands has crossed the 15 lakh unit mark. The milestone vehicle was a Kushaq.
The German conglomerate currently has two manufacturing facilities in India. Models like the Kushaq, Slavia, Taigun, Virtus, Polo and Vento are produced at the Chakan plant near Pune.
The carmaker's second facility is located at Shendra, Aurangabad. This is where premium models from the Skoda, Volkswagen and Audi ranges are manufactured.
