Scoop! Tata Nexon EV with rear disc brakes spied

Besides offering a longer range, the Nexon EV is also likely to get upgraded brakes.

A test mule of the Tata Nexon EV equipped with disc brakes on all four corners has been caught testing.

It's no secret that Tata Motors is working on a new variant of the Nexon EV. Besides offering a longer range, the electric crossover is also likely to get upgraded brakes.

In terms of design, the crossover looks similar to the Nexon that is currently on sale. The test car is equipped with a blanked-out grille and angular headlamps with LED daytime running lights. It also has fog lamps and a bumper with the tri-arrow motif.

Reports suggest that the long-range version of the Nexon EV could be launched by mid-2022. The car is likely to get a 40 kWh battery pack offering an estimated maximum range of 400 km on a single charge.

The long-range version is expected to be sold alongside the current model with the 30.2 kWh battery. The former will be slightly expensive and will compete with the MG ZS EV and the Hyundai Kona Electric.
