The Maruti Suzuki S-Cross facelift has been spotted at the company's production facility in Gurgaon, Haryana. This is probably the first image of the updated S-Cross on Indian soil.

The single spy shot just offers a glimpse at the car's new headlights, a part of the front grille and new alloy wheels. However, we have already seen how the S-Cross facelift looks like, as it was unveiled last year in Hungary.

The mid-life facelift gets a revised front end with new, bulkier headlights with projectors. Other new design elements include a wide front grille with vertical slats finished in chrome and a redesigned bumper with a large blacked out portion. The side profile hasn't been given any major changes. The rear end gets tweaked tail lights and a new bumper. Additionally, the car gets a redesigned set of alloy wheels.

Details of the powertrain setup and feature-related changes expected in the S-Cross facelift aren't known yet. However, Maruti is likely to continue to offer the crossover with the existing engines - a 1.3-litre, 4-cylinder diesel unit and a 1.6-litre, 4-cylinder diesel powerplant. A petrol option might also be introduced, since the Indian market is slowly shifting towards petrol powered cars.

The S-Cross facelift is expected to be launched in India later this year.
