The 2017 Skoda Octavia facelift has been spotted in India from close quarters. The updated sedan is expected to be launched in the third quarter of this year (July - September 2017).
Exterior spy shots showcase the sedan's updated front fascia that now comes with split section headlights that are expected to feature full LED illumination on the top end trims. The wide air dam on the lower bumper area runs throughout the width of the car. Meanwhile, the side and rear profiles are expected to remain largely unchanged, except for a new set of alloy wheels and some minor tweaks to the taillights and bumper.
The interiors feature a dual tone black and beige layout, which is similar to that of the outgoing model. However, the steering wheel is now a new 3-spoke unit that comes with integrated control buttons and gets piano black & chrome inserts. The centre console is dominated by the touchscreen infotainment system and automatic climate control. The car also features a panoramic sunroof.
No mechanical changes are expected to be made on the Octavia facelift. As a result, the sedan is expected to carry on with the current powertrain setup - 1.4 TSI petrol with a 6-speed MT, 1.8 TSI petrol with a 7-speed DSG and 2.0 TDI diesel with a 6-speed AT.
