Some Volkswagen dealers in the country are said to have unofficially started accepting bookings for the upcoming Taigun SUV. The token amount is set at Rs. 10,000.
The Taigun is based on the MQB A0 IN platform, which also underpins the Skoda Kushaq. It will come equipped with features like a digital instrument cluster, automatic climate control, wireless charging, and a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment head-unit that has Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.
The Taigun will be offered with two engine options - a 1.0-litre TSI petrol paired with a 6-speed MT & AT and a 1.5-litre TSI petrol paired with a 6-speed MT and 7-speed DSG. The GT variant will get the 1.5L TSI engine making 148 BHP and 250 Nm.
