According to a media report, the Tata Altroz could get a dual-clutch automatic transmission option in the future.
The Tata Altroz was unveiled earlier this week. At launch, the car will be offered with a 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine producing 85 BHP and 113 Nm and a 1.5-litre diesel engine making 89 BHP and 200 Nm of torque. Both engines will come equipped with a 5-speed manual gearbox.
The report suggests that the Altroz could get a Punch-sourced 7-speed DT-1 dual-clutch transmission. It could be offered with the 1.2-litre petrol engine. The car is unlikely to get a diesel automatic option.
Tata Motors has not revealed the exact time frame for the launch of the Altroz automatic, however rumours suggest that it could arrive by October 2020.
