Last week, Renault announced that its upcoming sub-4 meter MPV will be called Triber. Now, more details have emerged about the new model that is scheduled to be launched in the second half of this year.

The Renault Triber will feature three rows of seats. The third row is likely to be made up of two separate seats which can be removed, thus transforming the car into a 5, 6 or 7-seater as required. The third row is also expected to have a 50:50 split, which would help increase the luggage space without removing the seats entirely.

The Renault Triber (codenamed: RBC) is expected to be based on the CMF-A+ platform. It could be powered by a tuned 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine from the Kwid paired with a 5-speed manual or 5-speed AMT. Spy images suggest that the higher variants of the Triber could get a touchscreen infotainment system and side airbags.
