The Mahindra Marazzo was launched earlier this month with a single diesel engine and gearbox combo. According to a media report, Mahindra is likely to introduce a petrol engine and automated manual transmission (AMT) variants of the MPV around 2020.
Reports suggest that Mahindra is working with Magnetti Marelli to develop a 6-speed AMT for the Marazzo. Whether it will be offered with a petrol or diesel engine needs to be seen.
At present, the Marazzo comes with a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder diesel engine that makes 121 BHP @ 3,500 rpm and a peak torque of 300 Nm @ 1,750-2,500 rpm, which is mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox.
