According to a media report, Mahindra is likely to introduce a 1.5-litre, turbo petrol engine in the Marazzo MPV. It is rumoured to be launched in May 2020.
The 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder, turbocharged petrol unit is said to be part of the mStallion family of engines. It is expected to produce 161 BHP and 280 Nm of torque and could be paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission.
The mStallion engines feature integrated exhaust manifolds, offset crankshafts, 250 bar fuel injection rail systems and dual-mass flywheels.
At present, the Marazzo is available with a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder diesel engine that makes 121 BHP @ 3,500 rpm and a peak torque of 300 Nm @ 1,750-2,500 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission.
