Rumour: Lexus to enter India in March 2017

Lexus will reportedly enter the Indian market in March 2017, with the launch of the RX450h and the ES300h. Both these cars will be brought into the country through the CBU route. More details about the brand's launch have now surfaced, that claim that the company has imported around 50 cars in India, which will be used to garner customer interest towards the brand.

As mentioned in previous reports, Lexus will be having a dedicated dealership network in India. Initially, four dealerships will be opened across the country, out of which, Delhi will get 2 outlets, while Mumbai and Bengaluru will be home to one Lexus dealership each. Media reports also suggest that Toyota and Lexus will have the same service network, however there will be a dedicated service bay for Lexus cars.

We had earlier reported that bookings for the upcoming Lexus cars have already begun at some Toyota dealerships across the country. Lexus is also planning to bring the LX450 diesel, LX570 petrol and the NX to India by the end of 2017.
