Kia Sonet to be unveiled on August 7, 2020

Kia is all set to unveil the Sonet sub-4 meter SUV on August 7, 2020. The car is likely to be launched in the Indian market in the following month.

The Kia Sonet is expected to share its underpinnings with the Hyundai Venue. Spy images suggest that the car could get Kia's tiger nose grille and diamond-cut alloy wheels. The overall styling is expected to be based on the Sonet Concept that was showcased at the 2020 Auto Expo.

The Sonet could be offered with 1.2-litre petrol, 1.0-litre turbo petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engine options, with either a manual or automated manual transmission (AMT). Kia calls their AMT unit as the Intelligent Manual transmission which claims to offer conventional gear changing experience without the clutch pedal being present.
