According to a media report, Hyundai is likely to launch the Elantra facelift in India around September 2019.
The new Elantra gets a redesigned hexagonal grille at the front, with triangular LED headlamps on either side. The headlamp clusters have integrated V-shaped LED DRLs and the front bumper houses triangular fog lamps. The car has a coupe-like side profile with blacked-out B-pillars and ORVMs with integrated turn signals. At the rear, the new Elantra features a redesigned boot lid with wraparound LED tail lights.
On the inside, the new Elantra gets a redesigned dashboard with an 8-inch infotainment system that has Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. It has a 3-spoke multi-function steering wheel and a twin-pod instrument cluster with an MID in the centre.
The Elantra facelift is expected to be offered with the same set of engines as the outgoing model. These include a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine with 150 BHP and 192 Nm and a 1.6-litre diesel engine that puts out 126 BHP and 260 Nm. Transmission options are likely to include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic.
