Rumour: BS6 Toyota Fortuner to be launched at BS4 prices

It is said that the BS6 Toyota Fortuner will be launched at the same price as the BS4 version.

The outgoing version is powered by a BS4-compliant 2.8-litre diesel engine producing 175 BHP and 420 Nm with a 6-speed manual transmission and 450 Nm with a 6-speed automatic transmission. It also gets a 2.7-litre petrol engine producing 164 BHP and 245 Nm, which is offered with either a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission.

The BS4 petrol Fortuner starts at Rs. 28.18 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) and the BS4 diesel vehicle starts at Rs. 30.19 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
