According to a media report, Hyundai is likely to launch the 7-seater Creta sometime around the second half of next year.
Hyundai has already filed a trademark for the Alcazar name, leading to speculations that the 7-seater version could be called the Alcazar.
Spy images suggest that the 7-seater Creta could get a different grille and tail lamps with C-shaped brake lights. It could also get twin exhausts similar to the regular Creta. The SUV appears longer and will come with a third row of seats.
Under the bonnet, the 7-seater Creta could get a 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol engine and a 1.5-litre diesel engine option. It will compete with the MG Hector Plus and the upcoming Tata Gravitas.
