Renault Triber MPV to be launched in H2-2019

Renault's upcoming MPV has been named Triber. It will be launched in the second half of 2019.

Renault's new sub-4 meter MPV (codenamed: RBC) is expected to based on the CMF-A+ platform. Test mules of the car have already been spotted on Indian roads. The car is likely to get wraparound headlamps with a slightly pronounced grille and wraparound tail lamp clusters. The test vehicles have been seen sporting steel wheels, however the production version could be offered with alloys.

Inside, the new Triber is expected to get a dual-tone dashboard with silver trim. It is likely to get a touchscreen infotainment system, 3-spoke steering wheel and an instrument cluster with a chrome bezel. The spy images suggest that the car could get dual-tone fabric seats with fixed headrests and pull-type door locks. Moreover, Renault might also offer side airbags on higher variants.

According to media reports, the Triber could get a more powerful version of the 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine that powers the Kwid, while transmission options might include a 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT.
