Renault Kiger could be the HBC sub-4 meter SUV

Renault has filed a trademark application for the name 'Kiger'.

As we have reported in July 2019, the French company is planning a new sub-4 m SUV (codenamed: HBC) for India. This car could be named "Kiger".

The Kiger is expected to be based on the CMF-A+ platform. But, unlike the Triber, it could be a 5-seater.

The Kiger is unlikely to get a diesel engine option. Instead, the sub-4 meter SUV could be powered by a 1.0-litre, turbocharged petrol engine. Transmission options might include a manual and automated manual transmission (AMT).
