Refreshed Toyota Etios spotted on test

Toyota is likely to give the Etios sedan a facelift. A test mule of the car has been spotted.

The vehicle is seen with camouflage on the grille, front bumper and rear bumper suggesting that these parts are likely to see changes. Additionally, the car has a chrome strip running between the two tail lights.

On the inside, the Etios is likely to get a restyled steering wheel and new upholstery.

At present, the Etios is available with a choice of two engines:

  • 1,496cc, 4-cylinder petrol producing 89 BHP@ 5,600 rpm and 132 Nm of torque @ 3,000 rpm
  • 1,364cc, 4-cylinder diesel producing 67 BHP @ 3,800 rpm and 170 Nm of torque @ 1,800-2,400 rpm

Both engines are coupled to a 5-speed manual transmission.

It is unclear whether the refreshed Etios will feature any mechanical changes.
