Real-world fuel efficiency of the Hyundai Venue 1.0L Turbo

Having said that, I was able to achieve this mileage with a sedate driving. However, if you let the engine to sweat a lot, be prepared for low numbers.

BHPians Xaos636, sou_3749, uneet, turbowhistle, vvivek85, and windiesel recently shared this with other enthusiasts.

After covering 4,000 km in his Venue DCT and after a long drive, Xaos636 reported:

The car returned an overall mileage of 17.5kmpl with around 80% highway drive and 20% in traffic.

Pure City driving still returns above 12kpl for me.

After covering 13,000 km:

The fuel efficiency has been hovering around 11-12 in city and 15-18 on highways, so far. Again, cruise control at 90-100 over highways will give me 20+, but that is going to be plane jane boring.

BHPian sou_3749 drives a turbo-petrol iMT:

FE hasn't gone below 12 kmpl in city and is 18+ on the highways.

BHPian uneet had this to say about his petrol DCT:

I am getting a mileage figure of around 10 km/l in Petrol DCT in City traffic. My car mostly runs the short distances but whenever I have driven it on a longer route, I get the mileage of around 13 km/l.

BHPian turbowhistle drives a Venue SX(O) petrol MT:

Took it out for few long drives and completed 5000 km in the process. The only grouse I have is subpar mileage it has been giving us. We rarely see more than 10-11 km/l.

BHPian vvivek85 wrote about a long road trip in his Venue 1.0L:

Total KMs - 1692

Chennai - Pudukottai - Rameswaram - Danushkodi - kanyakumari - Nagercoil - Chennai

Mileage - 17.5 km/l (real time - RT)

I wanted to test mileage of the car, so first 100 KM of my journey, I drove around 80 KMPH, and I was able to get a mileage of 20.8 (Instrument Cluster - IC). For around 3 KM, I drove with the cruise control set at 60 KMPH, I got a mileage of whopping 32 (IC). Post which I drove in a sedate manner around 85 and got an overall mileage of 19.5 (IC) & 18.1 (RT). From Rameswaram to Kanyakumari, there were quite a few steep roads and even though IC showed me 19.1, I was able to get a mileage of 17.1 (RT). Return trip from Nagercoil to Chennai, I maintained a speed of 90 - 100 and I was able to get a mileage of 18.5 (IC), 17.3 real time. So average mileage throughout this trip was 17.5. I am very happy with the mileage. Having said that, I was able to achieve this mileage with a sedate driving. However, if you let the engine to sweat a lot, be prepared for low numbers.

BHPian windiesel rented a Venue 1.0L Petrol Turbo DCT with 6,500 km on the odo:

The route was BLR-Halebidu-Belur-Chikmangluru-Agumbe-Chikmangluru-Somvarpet-Madikeri-BLR. Overall trip mileage was 13.8 km/l.
