BHPians TrackDay, ashwin_murali, Nav-i-gator, lsjey, jiteshdivine, and GNG19 recently shared this with other enthusiasts.
BHPian TrackDay drives a silver City V CVT that he has named Athena:
My car completed 2000 km yesterday and the past 4 months have been really good. My average is usually within 90 km/h and sometimes up to a 100 km/h. The car handles decently at such speeds and also returns mileage in the ball park of 19-20 km/l on highways.
ashwin_murali took his brand new City CVT for a quick drive:
Its finally here! Took it out for a drive with the family on Airport road for dinner at Indian Paratha Company. Waiting for the weekend desperately now. Long drives coming up! The live mileage shows 12.8 at this point.
Here's what Nav-i-gator had to say on his City CVT's mileage:
Well, the FE is currently around 11-12 km/l (shown in the MID) for me. It has barely run 1000 km in 4 months (thanks to this stubborn COVID), so I am assuming it will go a bit up once the engine is used more. On the highways, with Cruise control used as much as possible (in D mode), the MID showed a FE of 18.6 km/l over a 330 KM trip which included quite a few slow moving bits at toll plazas and heavy traffic within towns. With Eco mode on, I think you can squeeze out a bit more.
After completing 1,000 km in his ZX MT petrol Honda City, lsjey had this to say:
I've completed 1000 km in my ZX MT Petrol City. I did an 800 km run on the highway. Got 19.8 km/l average in the MID.
jiteshdivine had this to say after completing a 550 km trip:
Hi all, one quick update - did a trip in my CVT to and fro Chandigarh and had the average reporting from MID at 19.8 km/l for a journey of roughly 550 km. This included some city driving and some aggressive driving with paddle shifters on the highway, total around 10% of the trip. This was with Eco Mode ON.
GNG19 reported his actual fuel efficiency:
Honda City 5th Gen: 15.5 km/litre in 100% city driving with the AC on all the time.
