Production-spec VW Taigun to be unveiled on March 24

The Taigun is expected to be offered with the same turbo-petrol engines as the Kushaq.

According to a media report, Volkswagen is planning to unveil the production-spec Taigun crossover on March 24, 2021. The crossover is slated for launch sometime around Diwali this year.

The Taigun is based on the MQB A0 IN platform, which is shared with the Skoda Kushaq. Both models are part of VW's India 2.0 project. 

The Taigun is expected to be offered with the same turbo-petrol engines as the Kushaq. These include a 1.0-litre TSI motor rated at 113 BHP and a 1.5-litre unit producing 148 BHP. Transmission options are likely to include a 6-speed manual, 6-speed automatic and a 7-speed DSG.
