An image of the production-spec Tata Gravitas has surfaced online. It looks like a brand-new SUV that has just rolled off the assembly line.
The Gravitas is based on the OMEGA platform, which is derived from Land Rover's D8 architecture. It is the 7-seat version of the Harrier and is expected to get disc brakes on all four wheels and an electronic parking brake.
The Gravitas is equipped with 3-rows of seats with the option of separate captain seats in the second row. The dashboard of the car will be similar to the Harrier and will feature a floating touchscreen infotainment head-unit and a semi-digital instrument cluster.
The Gravitas could be offered with a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder diesel engine producing 170 BHP and 350 Nm of torque. The engine could be mated to either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox.
The Tata Gravitas is expected to be launched in the fourth quarter of the current fiscal.
