Earlier this year, the Toyota Supra was showcased at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, albeit in a prototype form. Now, the production version of the car has been spotted in a vehicle transporter.
The production-spec car bears resemblance to the prototypes seen earlier. It gets a large front splitter with triple-vent air dam, a pointed nose with the T-badge and LED headlamps with integrated DRL-stripes. The car also gets a long bonnet with a bulge that culminates into the nose.
The interiors of the car that was spotted earlier reveal a 3-spoke steering wheel, slim air-conditioner vents with an infotainment screen on top and a BMW iDrive-like rotary dial.
The Supra is expected to be offered with a front-mounted inline 6-cylinder petrol engine with rear-wheel drive. The car is based on a platform co-developed by Toyota and BMW and shares its underpinnings with the BMW Z5.
The Toyota Supra is scheduled to go on sale in the first half of 2019.
