Toyota Mexico has inadvertently released images of the 5th-gen Supra. The images and a video reveal more details about the exterior of the car.
The two-seater roadster gets a triple-vent air dam. The LED headlights feature triple elements with a daytime running light below it. It gets a long bonnet and a sloping roofline that merges into the rear boot lid. The rear wheel arches get vents at the front and at the back which could function as brake cooling vents or as aerodynamic elements. The boot gets a lip spoiler and triangular shaped tail lights on either side. The dual tone rear bumper gets a blackened diffuser and dual exhaust pipes.
Leaked images of the interior of the car have revealed a 3-spoke steering wheel, a top mounted infotainment screen with slim AC cents below and a BMW iDrive-like rotary dial.
The Supra is co-developed alongside the BMW Z4 and will share the 6-cylinder petrol engine which is expected to power the rear wheels. The car is scheduled to go on sale in the first half of 2019.
