Nissan Magnite production crosses the 50,000 unit mark

The made-in-India Nissan Magnite is exported to 15 countries. The crossover shares its underpinnings with the Renault Kiger.

The 50,000th Nissan Magnite has rolled off the company's assembly line at Chennai. Total bookings have now crossed the 1 lakh mark.

The made-in-India Magnite is exported to 15 countries. These include South Africa, Indonesia, Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Brunei, Uganda, Kenya, Seychelles, Mozambique, Zambia, Mauritius, Tanzania and Malawi.

The Magnite was launched in India in December 2020. The crossover is based on the CMF-A+ platform which it shares with the Renault Kiger.

The Magnite is offered with two engine options. These include a 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine that produces 71 BHP and 96 Nm and a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol unit that makes 99 BHP and 160 Nm. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual and CVT.
