Nissan has started exporting the made-in-India Magnite to left-hand-drive markets. The first batch of 2,900 units was recently shipped from the Kamarajar Port near Chennai. The compact SUV is destined for select markets in the LATAM region.
This month, Nissan plans to export over 7,100 units of the new Magnite to markets in the Middle East, North Africa, LATAM and Asia Pacific regions. The company will have exported over 10,000 units of the LHD Magnite by the end of February.
The new Magnite will now be available in more than 65 markets around the world. These also include RHD markets like South Africa.
The updated Magnite was launched in India in October last year. The compact SUV is powered by a 1.0-litre petrol engine producing 71 BHP and 96 Nm and a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol unit that makes 99 BHP and 160 Nm. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual, 5-speed AMT and a CVT.
