The Audi A4 continues to remain a strong seller for the German automaker. However, it has been long overdue for a refresh, especially on the inside. The soon to be revealed sedan has just been spied again and the images showcase nuances like the restyled projector headlamps, reworked air vents and chiselled, chrome lined front grille.
On the inside, the dashboard follows the footsteps of the new Q7 and opts for a sleeker layout. The styling is better than before, but doesn’t seem as imaginative as the W205 C-Class. The MMI display is a tablet that sticks out of the dashboard and the car also features a reworked instrument cluster and dashboard cowl. The centre console is brand new and the gear selector has been switched to a smaller set-up as well.
The new A4 will ride on Audi's MLB Evo platform and incorporate high strength steel and aluminium into its design. Reports suggest that the new car could be lighter by a good 90-100 kgs. Engine options are expected to include a host of 1.4L, 1.6L and 2.0L TFSI petrols, along with 1.6L and 2.0L diesels.
The new A4 will make its public debut at the Frankfurt motor show, but the design and a few details will be disclosed in the run up to the reveal.
