The outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic has played spoilsport with the launch plans of a lot of upcoming cars. The next-generation Maruti Suzuki Celerio is one of the cars, whose launch has been pushed to September 2021.
With the official launch of the car still a few months away, some dealerships have reportedly started accepting bookings for the hatchback. The refundable deposit is said to vary from dealer to dealer and ranges from Rs. 5,000 to Rs. 11,000.
The new Celerio is expected to be based on the fifth-generation Heartect platform. It appears to be slightly larger than the outgoing model and will feature a new look exterior and interior.
Reports suggest that the new Celerio is likely to be offered with a 1.0-litre petrol engine, while a more refined 1.2-litre unit will be available as an option.
