Earlier this week, we had reported that the next-gen Maruti Celerio will be unveiled in 2021 instead of October 2020, due to a delay from the suppliers' end. Now, some more details of the car have surfaced online.
According to a media report, the life cycle of this new model would be around 7 years, with a facelift expected by 2024. While India is expected to be the main market for the Celerio, the car could also be sold in Thailand and Pakistan market. It is likely to be sold under the CULTUS brand in these two countries.
Maruti is expected to offer the new Celerio with 1.0-litre and 1.2-litre petrol engine options, while transmission options might include a 5-speed manual gearbox and a 5-speed AMT.
Some spy images of the car reveal that it will be larger than the outgoing model. The test car was spotted with 16-inch alloy wheels similar to those on the Baleno.
