We have seen the next generation XUV500 with a panoramic sunroof before. But, the latest spy images give us a better look at the sunroof from the outside.
The overall shape of the new XUV500 looks similar to the outgoing model. However, the SUV gets large boomerang-shaped headlamp clusters with integrated LED daytime running lights and a re-profiled grille with a 7-slat design.
On the inside, the new XUV500 will be offered with the latest tech including a dual-screen setup with a touchscreen infotainment head-unit and digital instrument cluster. The car seen in these images appears to be a higher variant. It has an automatic transmission and a rotary drive mode selector. Higher variants are also likely to get an electronic handbrake as well as Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) like adaptive cruise control, frontal collision warning, autonomous emergency braking and lane departure warning.
The next-gen Mahindra XUV500 could be offered with a 2.0-litre mStallion T-GDi turbocharged, four-cylinder petrol engine and a 2.0-litre diesel unit. The SUV is expected to be launched in April 2021.
