Isuzu has launched the next generation MU-X in Thailand.
The new MU-X is longer, wider and taller than the outgoing model. It measures 4,850 mm in length, 1,870 mm in width, 1,875 mm in height and its wheelbase is 2,855 mm. The SUV has a ground clearance of 235 mm.
The new MU-X gets a redesigned front fascia with chrome slats and slim headlamp clusters. It has a new front bumper with fog lamp pods positioned at the ends, flared wheel arches, and an updated rear fascia with new tail lights while the bumper gets integrated reflectors.
The interior of the MU-X is finished in a dual-tone theme. It features a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity and a 4.2-inch MID. Some notable features include dual-zone automatic climate control, 8-way adjustable driver's seat, Terrain Command Shift-on-fly, Automatic High Beam, adaptive cruise control, 6 airbags and ADAS system.
In Thailand, the Isuzu MU-X is offered with a 1.9-litre turbo diesel engine that produces 148 BHP @ 3,600 rpm and 350 Nm @ 1,800-2,600 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission. The SUV also comes with a 3.0-litre diesel unit that puts out 187 BHP @ 3,600 rpm and 450 Nm @ 1,600-2,600 rpm. This engine is paired with a 6-speed automatic gearbox and comes with all-wheel drive.
