The India-bound next-generation Hyundai Verna was recently spotted in South Korea. The car was totally uncamouflaged, revealing the rear design in full detail.
As you can see in this image, the new Verna looks unlike any of its predecessors. The rear fascia has undergone a major transformation. It now features sleek L-shaped LED taillights with an LED light bar that stretches across the rear end. Instead of 'Accent', the Indian version will get the 'Verna' lettering in the centre.
The new Verna's styling is based on the brand’s ‘Sensuous Sportiness’ philosophy. Up front, the car gets a massive trapezoidal grille with a sleek LED light bar stretching across the front end.
Hyundai's mid-size sedan will be offered with two engine options: an all-new 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine paired with a 6-speed manual and 7-speed DCT and a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol unit that will be offered with either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed IVT.
The next-gen Hyundai Verna will be launched on March 21, 2023. It will compete with the Skoda Slavia, VW Virtus and Honda City.
