Next-gen Hyundai Verna India launch on March 21, 2023

The new Verna will be offered with an all-new 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine.

Hyundai opened its order books for the next-generation Verna in India earlier this week. We can now confirm that the prices will be announced on March 21, 2023.

The Hyundai Verna will be available in four variants: EX, S, SX and SX (O) and two engine options. These include an all-new 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine paired with a 6-speed manual and 7-speed DCT and a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol unit that will be offered with either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed IVT. Both engines are RDE and E20-compliant.

The styling of the new Verna is based on the brand’s ‘Sensuous Sportiness’ philosophy. It features a wide grille with an LED light bar at the front and slim LED taillights with an LED strip in the centre.

Inside, the car is expected to get a dual-screen setup with a large touchscreen infotainment system in the centre and a digital instrument cluster.

The Hyundai Verna will compete with the Skoda Slavia, VW Virtus and Honda City in the mid-size sedan segment.
