Hyundai has released design sketches of the next-gen Verna ahead of the official launch, which is scheduled for March 21, 2023. Meanwhile, bookings are already underway.
The new Verna will feature a completely revamped design, in line with the brand’s ‘Sensuous Sportiness’ philosophy. The car has a massive trapezoidal grille with a sleek LED light bar stretching across the front end. There are aggressive lines on the side that blend into the L-shaped LED taillight at the rear.
Inside, the car is expected to get a dual-screen setup with a large touchscreen infotainment system in the centre and a digital instrument cluster.
In India, the new Verna will be available in four variants: EX, S, SX and SX (O) and two engine options. These include an all-new 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine paired with a 6-speed manual and 7-speed DCT and a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol unit that will be offered with either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed IVT. Both engines are RDE and E20-compliant.
