The next generation Hyundai Creta has been spotted testing in India for the first time. The SUV was spotted in Salem, Tamil Nadu.
The spy images suggest that the new Creta might get a redesigned exterior based on the ix25 that was unveiled earlier this year. It appears to have a new grille with chrome slats and split headlamp units. The rear is likely to get redesigned wraparound tail lights. The test mule has ORVMs with integrated turn signals, roof rails and is sporting silver alloy wheels. The side profile of the new Creta appears to be similar to the outgoing model though.
The next generation model is said to be based on an upgraded version of the same platform that underpins the outgoing Creta. It could be offered in 5-seat and 7-seat configurations.
While there is no word yet regarding the engines that will be offered in the new Creta, it could get BS-VI compliant 1.5-litre petrol and diesel engine options.
