Next-gen Force Gurkha spied completely undisguised

The Gurkha gets the familiar Mercedes G-Wagon inspired front end.

New spy images of the next-generation Force Gurkha have surfaced online, revealing the off-roader in all its glory.

The new Gurkha looks identical to the car that was showcased at the 2020 Auto Expo. It has that familiar Mercedes G-Wagon inspired front end with circular headlamps and a simple grille. The test car seen here is equipped with a snorkel, roof carrier with ladder and protection for the windshield and tail lamps. The SUV also has alloy wheels shod with chunky off-road tyres.

On the inside, the Gurkha is expected to get a touchscreen infotainment system, captain seats for the second row and side-facing jump seats at the rear.

The new Gurkha is expected to be powered by a 2.6-litre diesel engine producing 89 BHP and 260 Nm. The engine will be mated to a 5-speed manual transmission, a low range gearbox and an all-wheel-drive system. An independent front suspension and a rigid axle at the rear will further add to its off-road capability.
