Next-gen Audi Q5 spied inside and out

The interior of the next-gen Q5 is unlike anything we’ve seen before on this mid-size SUV.

The next-generation Audi Q5 has been spied testing in Europe. The latest test mule appears to have the production bodywork, albeit wrapped in camouflage.

The spy images showcase the next-gen Q5’s radical new front design, which looks a lot more aggressive and sporty than before. The car has slimmer LED headlamp clusters and a large hexagonal grille with vertical vents on either side. The rear is likely to feature slim LED clusters, although this particular test vehicle is equipped with dummy tail lights.

Coming to the interior, the cabin of the next-gen Q5 is unlike anything we’ve seen before on this mid-size SUV. It has a 4-spoke steering wheel with a digital instrument cluster and a large floating touchscreen in the centre with the ‘Quattro’ logo below it. The centre console has also been heavily designed.

It's too early to comment on the powertrain options that will be offered on the next-gen Q5. However, we can expect a range of engines, including a plug-in hybrid powertrain.
