Next-gen 2020 Force Gurkha spied

The next generation Force Gurkha has been spied testing.

As per the spy images, the new Gurkha is likely to retain its boxy body style. However, the SUV is expected to comply with the new crash test norms. The test vehicle appears to have circular headlights and is equipped with a snorkel, while the the spare wheel is mounted on the tail gate.

The next generation Gurka is likely to be offered with a BS-VI compliant diesel engine. Reports suggest that it could be offered with a 2.2-litre diesel engine from Mercedes-Benz producing 138 BHP, while the 2.5-litre diesel unit could be discontinued. It is likely to get four-wheel drive with low range.

The Force Gurkha could be unveiled at the 2020 Auto Expo. It is expected to compete with the next generation Mahindra Thar in the Indian market.
