BMW M, the German brand's performance division will be turning 50 next year. According to a media report, to celebrate this, BMW is said to be working on an all-new iM2 sedan, internally codenamed 'Project Katharina'.
The all-new BMW iM2 is said to be based on the brand's M2 CS model. This performance-oriented sedan has been electrified, featuring four electric motors offering some serious performance figures. The all-electric iM2 sedan is expected to be unveiled sometime in 2022.
The all-new BMW iM2, with its four electric motors, is said to have a combined power output of 1,341 BHP. The electric sedan is also said to be capable of sprinting from 0-100km/h in under 2.5 seconds. Reports also claim that the iM2 has already been around the famous Nurburgring Nordschleife, recording a lap time under seven minutes.
Most of the details have been kept under wraps, however. BMW yet to officially announce anything about the car.
