My Volkswagen ID.4 EV gets an OTA update after a year: Changes noticed

Thankfully, an update status shows up the next time the car is started, which also gives a code/id for the update.

After being in a slumber for almost an year, the VW software guys now seem to be in overdrive  I received another OTA a couple of days back.

I thought an update that takes 52 minutes to run would bring some features, but no. However, I read in another forum that this update is a preparation for a bigger update and new SW version coming later, but no idea when:

Again, from another forum, I found a website that provides information on pending updates:


Since the date when the update was available was the 9th of January, and I had already received some updates after that date, I wasn't sure if the status shown is up-to-date. However, reading the other forum, it seemed that this is a separate update. And so it turned out.

As you can see in the picture above, the first time I use the car after the update, it shows a message that a brief internet connection will be established to complete the process. I assume the status is then updated to VW servers and synced to this website soon enough. I checked within a few hours, and the website was already updated:
