My bike will complete a year in two months, and it is unusual for me not to post. But the bike is performing really well. "Boringly reliable", I should say.
1. Rider triangle: Love the seating angle. It's just perfect. (However, the seat is good for about 350 Kms continuous riding - after that it gets bit uncomfortable. And I just check into a motel for few hours, preferring to wait it out. Unlike the CB 500, there is a slight buzz on the handlebar at 80 KMPH, and again at 110 KMPH (If I do take it to that speed)
2. Weight management: Cant feel its weight one bit, the balance is just great. Maneuvering is a breeze (My Himalayan 450 is an amateur in this department).
3. Mileage: I actually got 40 KMPL on highway riding. In the city it is near-about 35 KMPL. I keep it mostly between 80-120. Wont take chances on India's highways.
4. Click magnet: The 'white tiger' calls out to people to 'come, check it out'! Never a dull moment wherever I stop, even at signals, with strangers asking "how much is it on-road and the mileage?"
5. Butter smooth: Gearing is really smooth, and no false shifts. Wish it had a quick shifter though, like on my 390 ADV.
6. Hot stopper: I love the brakes and have saved me from one surely disastrous situation when a Tempo stopped suddenly in the middle of the highway and I was doing 80 KMPH (My heart was in my mouth ). Have not ridden it in the wet.
7. Accessory: I have overladen the bike with every accessory and am removing it all, one by one. Will keep it light as I love its handling. Now, I have the confidence that I wont drop it.
To summarize; This is a marriage fixed in heaven and will be my partner for time to come . Just loving it!
