More images: Tata Kite interiors spied

One more images of the upcoming Tata Kite, partially revelaing its interiors, has surfaced on the internet.

Among the features that the car is equipped with, is a three-spoke, multifunction steering wheel, electrically adjustable ORVMs and a manual air-conditioner unit. The air-conditioner vents are different to those seen on the Zest and Bolt. However, parts like the steering wheel and gear lever have been borrowed from Tata Motors' latest products. Even the indicator and wiper stalks appear to have been carried over from the Zest and Bolt. This part sharing will help the company keep production cost low.

The report by Motor Octane claims that the instrument cluster is likely to be similar to its bigger sibling as well. While the Kite is not expected to get a touchscreen infotainment system, it will be given a Harman audio system with Bluetooth, USB and Aux-in connectivity and 4 speakers and two tweeters.

The Kite is expected to use Tata's new design language. It will have a smiling front fascia with a honeycomb mesh grille, bulging headlights, an air dam with a black horizontal slat running across it and front fog lamps. At the rear of the car is a pair of tail lamps in place of the Christmas tree units, a roof-mounted rear spoiler, a number plate mounted on the bumper and a fog lamp.

The engine line-up for the Kite is likely to include a new 1.05-litre, 3-cylinder, common rail diesel and a 1.2-litre petrol unit. LPG, CNG and AMT-equipped variants could be on the cards as well.

The Kite will be available in hatchback and compact sedan body styles. It is expected to replace the Indica and Indigo eCS.
